The perpetrators, young men from the neighborhood, continued roaming around carefreely after throwing the body into the gutter. Following the discovery of the body, the police detained both young men for questioning, and they confessed to the murder based on suspicion.
The incident took place in the Kashmiri Gate area of the Ramgarh police station. Aburaj, the six-year-old son of Muhammad Rashid, a factory worker living on rent in Khursheed’s house, went missing from his home on Tuesday night at around 8:00 PM.
Aburaj’s speech was stuttering, and he could not speak properly. After searching for several hours, relatives complained to the police, suspecting neighboring youths Hashim and Bilal. The police detained Hashim for questioning.
Body Found in the Gutter: On Wednesday morning at 8:30 AM, Aburaj’s body was found in the drain of an under-construction house in Kotla, 200 meters away from Rashid’s house. A plastic rope was tied around his neck.

SP City Sarvesh Mishra, CO City Kamlesh Kumar, Dog Squad, and the forensic team reached the spot. Afterward, Hashim was questioned again. CO City stated that a few days ago, there was a dispute, and Rashid had beaten Hashim. This made him contemplate revenge.
Plastic Rope Used for Strangulation: On Tuesday afternoon, Hashim went to watch the movie ‘Animal.’ After returning from there, he drank with Rashid and was returning home when he encountered Aburaj on the way. Taking him to the under-construction house under the pretext of getting some belongings, Hashim strangled him to death with a plastic rope. After committing the murder, he threw the body into the under-construction gutter and returned home.
CO City revealed that a case was registered against Hashim and Bilal based on suspicion. CCTV footage shows Hashim taking Aburaj to the site. The role of Bilal is still under investigation. Aburaj was the youngest among four siblings.
