The final episode of MasterChef India Season 8, which premiered on SonyLiv, crowned Mangalore’s Mohammed Aashiq as the winner of the culinary reality show. Nambie Jessica Marak and Rukhsaar Sayeed secured the positions of the first and second runner-ups, respectively.

Judge Ranveer Brar congratulated the winner on Instagram, commending Aashiq’s inspirational journey. Pooja Dhingra, another judge of the season, acknowledged the challenging six-week journey and extended congratulations to the newly crowned MasterChef.

Vikas Khanna also celebrated Aashiq’s victory, highlighting his resilience and hard work after not being selected in the previous season. Khanna praised Aashiq’s determination and presented him with the MasterChef India trophy.

In response to his triumph, Mohammed Aashiq expressed gratitude for the transformative journey on MasterChef India. He shared his profound lessons from facing elimination to holding the trophy and emphasized the significant impact of the experience on his life. Aashiq dedicated his victory to all dreamers who defy the odds to pursue their aspirations.

Acknowledging the support from judges Chef Vikas, Ranveer, and Pooja, fellow contestants, the audience, and renowned chefs, Aashiq recognized the collective effort that contributed to his growth in culinary skills. He described the victory as surreal and expressed appreciation for the incredible boot camp experience that played a pivotal role in his culinary development.

Mohammed Aashiq, hailing from Mangalore’s coastal region, was the sole breadwinner for his family, running a juice shop in his city before participating in MasterChef India Season 8. He had previously competed in MasterChef India 7, where he was eliminated.
