Animal’s box office performance on Day 4 continued to impress, surpassing the Monday records set by other major Bollywood releases. The Ranbir Kapoor-led film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, earned an impressive Rs 39.90 crore on its fourth day of release, bringing its four-day total to Rs 241.43 crore in the domestic market.

Notably, Animal’s Monday collections exceeded those of this year’s blockbuster releases, Jawan and Pathaan, with Jawan earning Rs 32.92 crore and Pathaan making Rs 26.50 crore on their respective first Mondays. Animal also outperformed Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, which earned Rs 38.70 crore on its first Monday.

The film’s Monday occupancy rates were recorded at 48.92% for Hindi, 33.30% for Telugu, and 17.73% for Tamil. Despite facing criticism for its content, Animal had already earned Rs 356 crore ($42 million) worldwide by Sunday, establishing itself as the biggest film globally over the weekend.

Animal’s success at the box office has positioned it as a significant hit, outperforming Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur, which earned Rs 3.5 crore on Monday, bringing its total collection to Rs 29.05 crore.

Despite the controversy surrounding its content, Animal is expected to dominate ticket sales until the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki on December 21. Ashish Saksena, COO – Cinemas, BookMyShow, noted that Animal has already sold over 4.5 million tickets on BookMyShow and is witnessing sustained excitement across various cities in India.
