Jr NTR Expresses Deep Shock After Earthquake Hits Japan During His Return: Wishes for Swift Recovery
Jr NTR, who recently returned from Japan after spending the entire New Year weekend there, has expressed his shock over the country being hit by earthquakes around the same time. The actor, currently immersed in the production of his upcoming film, “Devara,” confirmed his return and shared his concerns on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Jr NTR revealed that he spent the entire last week in Japan and conveyed his heartfelt prayers for a swift recovery in the wake of the natural disaster.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Jr NTR stated, “Back home today from Japan and deeply shocked by the earthquakes hitting. Spent the entire last week there, and my heart goes out to everyone affected. Grateful for the resilience of the people and hoping for a swift recovery. Stay strong, Japan.”
Concerned fans responded to his tweet, expressing relief at his safe return and conveying well-wishes for the affected region. One fan on X commented, “Thank God you’re back to India. Stay strong Japan. Thank you for your concern.” Another fan from Japan tweeted, “A very serious thing happened, but Japanese people, including the suburbs of Ishikawa, have an indomitable spirit in any situation like RRR Bheem.”
On Monday, powerful earthquakes struck western Japan, resulting in casualties and significant damage. The Japan Meteorological Agency issued warnings, including a major tsunami warning for Ishikawa. Officials cautioned people in certain areas to stay away from their homes due to the risk of additional strong quakes.
In a previous instance, Jr NTR had successfully promoted his film “RRR” in Japan, where it emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film in 2022, earning over 410 million yen (approximately ₹24.13 crore) at the Japanese box office. The actor, along with co-star Ram Charan, had visited Japan for promotional activities.
Currently, Jr NTR is actively involved in the shooting of his next Telugu film, “Devara.” On New Year’s Day, he unveiled an intense and fierce look from the film along with the release date. Excited about the audience’s response, Jr NTR wrote on Instagram, “Wishing you all a very Happy New Year. Can’t wait for you all to experience the glimpse of Devara on January 8.” Additionally, he is set to star in “War 2” alongside Hrithik Roshan.
