After YouTube took the step of demonetizing the channel of Twitch streamer Alia Shelesh, known as SSSniperwolf, due to her involvement in an incident with fellow YouTuber Jack Douglass (Jacksfilms) earlier in October, she has since shared an apology on social media.

Jack Douglass accused Alia of doxxing him, claiming that she had shared his address on her Instagram story. He used his online persona to call her out and requested YouTube to demonetize her channel, referring to her as a “dangerous creator.” In response, YouTube issued a statement indicating that Alia received a “temporary monetization suspension” based on their Creator Responsibility policies. They expressed concern that off-platform actions endangering personal safety harm the community and emphasized their desire for a more constructive dialogue.

Alia later took to social media, specifically X (formerly Twitter), to express her remorse for her actions, acknowledging their inexcusability. She began by saying, “Let me start by saying I’m sorry for my recent actions; it is inexcusable.” She extended her apologies to Jacksfilm, YouTube, the entire creator community, and her devoted fans, expressing regret for failing to set a better example for appropriate conflict resolution.

She also addressed Jack directly, stating, “Jacksfilm, even though we have differences and disagreements, I apologize for my reaction. I should have taken the opportunity to demonstrate to young creators how adults and professionals handle conflicts by engaging in direct, respectful, and private communication, not for the sake of views or content, but as a meaningful example of how conflicts should be resolved.”

She concluded her message by indicating her intention to reach out to Jack directly with the hope of establishing a connection and engaging in respectful communication. She also expressed gratitude towards YouTube for holding her accountable, acknowledging that she deserves the consequences and appreciating the opportunity to learn and grow from her lapse in judgment.
