After Hemant Soren’s resignation in Jharkhand, the formation of a new government under Champai Soren’s leadership has indeed taken place. However, the clouds of crisis have not yet dispersed. Monday marks the day of the floor test. CM Champai Soren claims to have a majority, stating that he has the support of 47 legislators, despite an empty seat in the 82-member Jharkhand Assembly. On the other hand, the BJP argues that the political game in Jharkhand is yet to unfold, with both sides making separate claims.
Ranchi: Monday, the 5th of February, is a crucial day for Jharkhand politics. In the special session of the Legislative Assembly, Champai Soren aims to secure a majority. CM Champai Soren asserts that despite one seat vacant in the 82-member Jharkhand Assembly, the ruling coalition has the support of 47 legislators. However, Minister Alamgir Alam claims that the majority figure could range between 48 and 50. Political analysts, while optimistic about the ruling coalition proving its majority, acknowledge that the JMM government faces political turmoil until the floor test is conducted. Amidst this uncertainty, the question arises: Will the Champai Soren government survive in Jharkhand? Could there be a political twist with Champai Soren?
