Shaitaan, Ajay Devgn’s supernatural thriller, has achieved a remarkable milestone by joining the ₹100 crore club worldwide. According to a report from Sacnilk.com, Shaitaan accomplished this feat on its fifth day, Tuesday. Another report from the same source indicates that on its sixth day, Wednesday, Shaitaan added an estimated ₹6.25 crore to its India collection, bringing its total to approximately ₹74 crore nett in India, as per early estimates.

Shaitaan’s impressive box office performance includes grossing around ₹80 crore in India and an estimated ₹20 crore overseas within five days, as reported by Sacnilk.com. This makes Shaitaan the third Hindi movie of 2024, following Fighter starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, to cross the ₹100 crore mark worldwide. It is also the seventh Indian film of 2024 to achieve this milestone.

According to the portal, Shaitaan marks Ajay Devgn’s third consecutive post-Covid-19 pandemic movie to surpass the ₹100 crore mark at the global box office, following Drishyam 2 and Bholaa. Jyotika, making her Bollywood comeback after over two decades, celebrates her first ₹100 crore film with Shaitaan, while R Madhavan achieves his third film in this prestigious club. Director Vikas Bahl also notches his second ₹100 crore grosser after 2019’s Super 30 starring Hrithik Roshan.

In terms of domestic collection, Shaitaan opened with ₹14.75 crore nett in India on Friday and saw a steady rise with ₹18.75 crore nett on Saturday and approximately ₹20 crore nett on Sunday. Its first Monday earnings were around ₹7.25 crore nett, followed by ₹6.5 crore and roughly ₹6.25 crore nett on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

Directed by Vikas Bahl and presented by Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and Panorama Studios, Shaitaan is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak. It is the Hindi remake of the 2023 Gujarati horror film Vash, written and directed by Krishnadev Yagnik.
