A recently surfaced deleted scene from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film “Animal” has caught the attention of the internet. In the video, a visibly intoxicated and bruised Ranbir Kapoor is depicted boarding and flying a private jet. The footage has quickly gone viral.

NEW DELHI: The latest action crime-thriller by Ranbir Kapoor, titled ‘Animal,’ released in theaters on December 1, 2023, has made significant waves at the Box Office. The film marked an impressive opening, earning Rs 63.8 crore on its first day, becoming the second-fastest Hindi film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in just two days. Within a short period, the movie has already grossed over Rs 200 crore globally.

The viral video showcases Ranbir Kapoor, with bruised eyes and an unsteady gait, pouring himself a drink while walking down the aisle of a private jet. Accompanied by his gang members on the flight, he requests one of the pilots to vacate their seat. As the scene unfolds, Ranbir is seen piloting the jet under the influence, simultaneously smoking a cigarette. Notably, this scene was omitted from the theatrical release.

Following the video’s viral circulation, cinema enthusiasts expressed curiosity about the reasons behind the scene’s deletion. One user questioned, “But why did they delete it?” Another remarked, “I waited the entire movie for this scene… maybe that’s why the initial runtime was 3 hours and 49 minutes before being trimmed to 3 hours and 21 minutes.”

A user speculated, “I think this will be included in the Netflix version, just after killing Bobby and returning home.”

One comment pointed out a potential continuity error, suggesting, “SPOILER ALERT. In this scene, the two brothers who are shown to have died post-credits are visible inside the plane. It means they were left behind, but in this scene, they are seen inside the plane. Perhaps it caused a continuity error, leading to its deletion.”

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film experienced a surge in collections on the second day, with ‘Animal’ earning Rs 66 crore on Day 2 and Rs 72.50 crore on Day 3, as reported by the box office trading platform Sacnilk.

Before “Animal,” Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Luv Ranjan’s “Tu Jhooti Main Makkar” alongside Shraddha Kapoor and Anubhav Bassi. Reportedly, he is gearing up for Ayan Mukerji’s “Brahmastra Part 2 and 3.”
