Consequently, more than a dozen flights have been canceled at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi. Additionally, nearly 50 flights to various destinations are experiencing delays of up to five hours.

ANI, New Delhi: On Tuesday, dense fog continues to envelop Delhi and the National Capital Region. This has resulted in decreased visibility, impacting road, rail, and air travel in the capital.

Adverse weather has heightened concerns for travelers at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi. According to the latest information, approximately 17 flights have been canceled, and around 50 flights are delayed by up to five hours. Meanwhile, 30 long-distance trains to and from Delhi are also experiencing significant delays.

The delays, ranging from half an hour to five hours in flights, have left many passengers waiting at the airport with their belongings. A traveler shared with news agency ANI, “My flight was scheduled to depart at 8:40 AM, but now it is rescheduled for 10:30 AM. The primary reasons cited are adverse weather conditions and fog.”

Witnessing this situation, Delhi Airport has issued an advisory for travelers, urging them to contact the respective airlines before undertaking their journey. The advisory aims to keep passengers informed about the ongoing disruptions and changes.

The visibility at IGI Airport has dropped to zero, according to the Meteorological Department. As of today, the minimum temperature in Delhi is recorded at 3.5 degrees Celsius. The authorities are closely monitoring the situation and advising travelers to stay updated on the latest information related to their flights from the concerned airlines.
