Yashasvi Jaiswal’s Record-Breaking Innings in Second Test: Yashasvi Jaiswal delivered a phenomenal performance in the second Test, securing several records for himself.

In the second Test against England, on the first day’s conclusion, the Indian team had amassed 336 runs for the loss of six wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal played a remarkable inning, scoring 179 runs. This marked his second century in Test matches and the first in his Test career in India. Notably, as Jaiswal reached 180 runs, he also set a unique record for being the third Indian batsman to score the most runs before the age of 23 in Test cricket.

In achieving this feat, Yashasvi surpassed Sachin Tendulkar’s record, who had scored 179 runs in a Test match before turning 23. Sachin’s innings was the highest by any batsman before the age of 23 at that time. Yashasvi, at the age of 22, has now become the third-highest run-scorer in Test matches for India before turning 23, causing a stir in world cricket.
