The Punjab government has undertaken a major reshuffle of 31 police officers, comprising 21 IPS and 10 PPS officials, with immediate effect. Among the changes, Ludhiana Police Commissioner Mandeep Singh Sidhu has been reassigned as Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Administration, while Kuldeep Singh takes over as Ludhiana Police Commissioner. Gupreet Singh Bhullar is now the Amritsar Police Commissioner, succeeding Naunihal Singh, and Swapan Sharma assumes the role of Jalandhar Police Commissioner. Other appointments include Vivek Sheel Soni as SSP, Moga, Gulneet Singh Khurana as SSP, Rupnagar, HS Gill as SSP, Bathinda, Surendra Lamba as SSP, Hoshiarpur, Sartaj Singh Chahal as SSP Sangrur, Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh as SSP, Malerkotla, and Diljinder Singh as SSP, Pathankot. Senior IPS officer B Chandra Sekhar is designated as Additional Director General of Police, Modernisation, P K Sinha as ADGP, NRI, Mohali, Neeraja Voruvuru as ADGP, Cyber Crime, R K Jaiswal as ADGP, Intelligence-1, Nilabh Kishore overseeing ADGP, STF, and Shive Kumar Verma as ADGP, Internal Security. Additionally, Jaskaran Singh is appointed as ADGP, Rupnagar, and S Boopathi as DIG Jalandhar Range, while J Elanchezhian is designated as AIG, Counter Intelligence.
