Characters played by Manoj in films like ‘Satya’ and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ are still remembered by audiences. Recently, in an interview, Manoj revealed the hard work he puts into shaping his characters. He emphasized the necessity of this effort as the OTT platform is rapidly gaining prominence. Manoj, often referred to as the ‘OTT King’ in today’s era, has successfully established a strong presence on digital platforms in recent years.
Manoj stated, “Over the past four years, the best thing that happened to me is getting numerous good projects. It depends on me which one I choose. However, I prioritize projects that elevate creativity to a different level. I challenge myself to offer fans a unique experience. I want directors and writers to give me something extraordinary.”
It is noteworthy that Manoj’s upcoming project is also a web series titled ‘Killer Soup,’ directed by Abhishek Chaubey. ‘Killer Soup’ is a crime thriller that features actress Konkona Sen Sharma alongside him.
Discussing the web series, Manoj shared his mantra for creating successful web series. He said, “The story of this series is robust. I believe that robust writing is the most crucial aspect of creating a good and successful web series.” He further added that a thriller or black comedy of this nature has never been attempted before, making it a completely unique experience. ‘Killer Soup’ is set to release on Netflix on January 11th.
