Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange has urged the Maharashtra government to pass a bill providing reservation to Marathas in the upcoming winter session of the state legislature instead of convening a special session for it. Speaking at a rally in Thane, Jarange reminded the government of the December 24 deadline he set for the reservation demand. He emphasized that if the demand is not fulfilled by that time, the agitation cannot be handled by the government. Jarange stated that the government has no other option but to give reservation to the Maratha community.
