Shah Rukh Khan returns to Vaishno Devi ahead of Dunki’s December 21 release, marking his third visit this year. In a ritual preceding film releases, he, along with his entourage, including bodyguards and manager Pooja Dadlani, was spotted on the sacred path in Jammu. Khan, donned in a black puffer jacket with a hood, has previously visited Vaishno Devi before Pathaan’s release in December last year and Jawan’s release in August. Both films became massive hits, collectively earning over ₹2100 crores worldwide. Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is Shah Rukh’s next release, featuring a diverse cast and set to hit theaters on December 21. Despite the film’s impending release, Khan continues his trend of refraining from promotional interviews or visits. Dunki, a tale of four friends pursuing dreams abroad, is produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan, presented by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, with Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover in lead roles. The film, scripted by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon, explores the transformative and challenging journey of these friends, drawing inspiration from real-life experiences, depicting a saga of love and friendship amid diverse stories.
