Today’s weather update, as per IMD, indicates potential concerns of fog in plains and cold in the mountains. Following this, there might be a change in the weather pattern from December 23 due to the activity of a western disturbance. There is a possibility of snowfall in higher mountain regions and precipitation in lower areas. The impact of chilly temperatures in the mountains is being observed across northern India.

Digital Desk, New Delhi: Weather Update Today: This Thursday morning in the national capital Delhi, a layer of fog and mist was visible. People were shivering due to the brisk, icy winds. According to the weather department, partial cloud cover is expected during the day on Thursday.

There won’t be significant changes in temperature over the next two to three days in Delhi. An increase of one to two degrees in both maximum and minimum temperatures is anticipated. Meanwhile, signs of rainfall and snowfall are expected in Uttarakhand starting Saturday.

Cloud Cover in Uttar Pradesh for the Next Five Days: Weather conditions in Uttar Pradesh are also consistently changing. The state is experiencing frosty winds and mist. Talking about today, Thursday, there will be a change in the weather. According to the weather forecast, clouds will persist in the state for the next five days. While light sunshine is expected on Wednesday, the minimum temperature in the state today will be around 23 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature could be around 9 degrees Celsius.

Cloudy Weather in Bihar’s Southern Parts: In Bihar, the weather is also continuously fluctuating. The flow of cold air continues in the state, including the capital Patna. On Wednesday, the minimum temperature in 23 cities, including Patna, increased, while the minimum temperature of 11 cities was recorded below 10 degrees Celsius. According to the weather department, partial clouds will persist in 18 cities in southern parts, including Patna. Meanwhile, the weather will remain dry in other parts.

Cold Wave Alert in Haryana: Weather has been changing rapidly in the state for the last few days. On Wednesday, a decrease of up to 2.8 degrees in minimum temperature was recorded in the state. Mahendragarh district of the state remained colder than Shimla and Jammu. According to meteorologists, due to partial cloudiness from the night of December 22, intermittent drizzling could occur in some districts of the state. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed the possibility of a cold wave in some places in the state.

Anticipated Rain and Snowfall in Uttarakhand After Three Days: The weather in Uttarakhand is currently dry. According to Bikram Singh, Director of the Meteorological Center, due to the activity of the western disturbance, the weather may change from December 23. There is a possibility of snowfall in the high-altitude areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh, and precipitation in lower areas. This is expected to result in a further drop in temperatures.

No Respite from Cold in Jharkhand Until December 24: Cold conditions persist in several districts of Jharkhand, including the capital Ranchi. The temperature in Kanker is even lower than Shimla and Jammu. According to the report from the Meteorological Center in Ranchi, a decrease of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius was recorded in normal temperatures in several districts, while a decrease of 4 to 5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Kodarma, Latehar, and Lohardaga. According to the weather department, there is a possibility of partial cloud cover in all districts of the state until December 24, followed by relief from minimum temperatures.
