A woman police officer in Patna, the capital of Bihar, has been attacked, as per recent reports. It is said that miscreants shot at the female constable, Pammi Khatun, who was recording a video on JP Ganga Path. Following the incident, the injured constable has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. Currently, the identity of the suspects remains unknown.

Jagran correspondent, Patna: On Wednesday night at LCET Ghat on JP Ganga Path, two assailants on a bike shot at Constable Pammi Khatun, who was recording a video with her mobile. Also present at the scene was her friend, trainee Sub-Inspector Shabana Azmi.

Upon receiving information about the constable being shot, the Patliputra Police Station in-charge and DSP Law and Order immediately reached the spot. The injured constable has been admitted to PMCH, sustaining a gunshot wound to her left arm.

As per DSP Law and Order, the female constable is currently out of danger. An internal dispute is suspected in the initial investigation. CCTV footage is being analyzed, and the identification of the accused will lead to their arrest soon.

Both police officers were in civilian clothes at the time. Pammi, who serves in the Patna Police Line, arrived at JP Ganga Path with Shabana around 2:30 AM. Both police officers were in civilian attire. Shabana is an Inspector of the 2018 batch, posted in Purnia.

Pammi was capturing photos and videos with her mobile when two assailants on a bike arrived from Gandhi Maidan and started firing indiscriminately. One bullet hit Pammi’s arm. The shooters fled towards Digha. Police are interrogating the injured constable, and those suspected are under investigation by the police for gathering information.
