India’s spinners effectively utilized a two-paced wicket in Raipur, securing a decisive 3-1 lead in the five-match T20 series against Australia. The fourth T20I witnessed a departure from the high-scoring trend, with India posting 174/9 and restricting Australia to 154/7. Travis Head’s strong start in the chase was curtailed by India’s spin duo, Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel, who claimed crucial wickets. With the ball occasionally staying low, Axar Patel’s impressive figures of 3/16 and Bishnoi’s 1/17 further solidified India’s control.

Australia’s attempts to stage a comeback through Tim David and Matthew Short were thwarted by India’s persistent bowling, and skipper Matthew Wade’s efforts fell short against Avesh Khan’s composed bowling in the final over. Earlier, in a series marked by frequent lineup changes, both teams made adjustments to their playing XI. Despite a promising start by India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal, a mini-collapse followed, only to be revived by partnerships involving Rinku Singh. However, India’s innings concluded with a flurry of wickets, yet the total proved sufficient for victory.
