The Mumbai Police is on high alert following a threatening message received via X (formerly Twitter) from an unidentified individual. The message indicated the execution of a “nefarious” incident at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium during the India vs New Zealand match. Accompanying the threat was a photo featuring a gun, hand grenades, and bullets. Mumbai Police has heightened surveillance in and around Wankhede Stadium in response to the threat. In an official statement, Mumbai Police stated, “Strict vigilance is being done in the area around the stadium and nearby areas.” The individual had tagged Mumbai Police in the post containing the alarming image and threat.
