Prashant Neel is at the helm of the film “Salaar,” featuring Prabhas in the lead role, while Rajkumar Hirani directs “Dunki,” starring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu.

Shah Rukh Khan recently announced that his upcoming film, “Dunki,” is slated for a theatrical release around the Christmas or New Year season. Meanwhile, Prabhas’ next film, “Salaar – Part 1: Ceasefire,” is also scheduled for release in December this year, setting the stage for a clash between the two films. The possibility of a “Dunki” postponement:

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan mentioned, “Buzz: #SalaarVsDunki X #ShahRukhKhan’s #Dunki likely to get POSTPONED. #Prabhas’ #Salaar to get a SOLO record release.” On X, the film news page Lets Cinema reported, “Reports suggest, #Dunki might get postponed from December 22nd due to delayed post-production timelines. Awaiting official confirmation.”

Aakashavaani also tweeted, “Yes, the talk going around is said to be true. #Dunki most ‘Likely’ to get postponed. Post-production works are said to be taking time, and the team may not be able to complete the works for the 22nd December release. Official confirmation is awaited.”

Salaar’s release date announcement:

In the previous month, the makers of the action thriller film “Salaar” revealed that it would hit theaters on December 22. Production house Hombale Films shared a striking new poster of “Salaar” on Instagram, along with the caption, “Coming bloody soon! #SalaarCeaseFire Worldwide Release On Dec 22, 2023.” The poster featured Prabhas with blood on his body, adding to the film’s intrigue.

About “Salaar”:

Directed by Prashant Neel, the movie also stars Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in leading roles. Originally scheduled for a September 28 release, the film was postponed due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

Shah Rukh Khan on “Dunki”:

At the success event of “Jawan,” Shah Rukh confirmed the release date of “Dunki.” He mentioned, “We started on January 26, Republic Day (with Pathaan), then on Janmashtami we released Jawan, now New Year and Christmas are round the corner, we will release Dunki. I keep National integration. Anyway, when my film is released, it is Eid.” Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film also features Taapsee Pannu in a leading role.
