Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, stated, “In the past few days, dozens of Hamas fighters have surrendered before our army.”
On Sunday, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged arming Hamas fighters while declaring the imminent end of the Palestinian group’s influence. He emphasized that the conflict in the Gaza Strip continues, more than two months after its initiation. Netanyahu stated in a press release that the war is still ongoing, but it marks the beginning of the end for Hamas. Addressing Hamas fighters, he said, “It is over. Surrender now.” He further mentioned, “In the past few days, dozens of Hamas terrorists have surrendered before our army.”
Approximately a month ago, Israel’s Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, had stated that Hamas had “lost control” of Gaza. According to Israeli figures, Hamas initiated a conflict with Israel on October 7, involving the most devastating attacks to date, resulting in the death of around 1,200 people.
As per the Health Ministry operated by Hamas, Israel has responded with continuous military strikes, transforming most of Gaza into rubble, with at least 17,997 casualties, predominantly comprising women and children.
