Jio Bharat B2 could soon be launched in India. However, the company has not confirmed the handset yet, although the phone was reportedly spotted on a certification site. There isn’t much information available about the feature phone, and speculations are being made regarding its moniker. It is hoped to be an upgrade to the Jio Bharat B1, which was launched last October. The older model comes with 4G connectivity and pre-installed UPI payment features. The phone supports several Indian regional languages and is available in two color options.

According to a report by 91Mobiles Hindi, a new Jio phone has been listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with the model number JBB121B1. The listing does not provide any details about the handset, nor does it indicate any moniker for the model. The report claims that the phone could be presented as the Jio Bharat B2, which is expected to offer better specifications and more features compared to the previous model.

The Jio Bharat B1 comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display and Threadx RTOS. It is equipped with 50MB RAM and offers Bluetooth, 4G, Wi-Fi, and USB connectivity options, supporting a nano SIM card.

The Jio Bharat B1 features a 2,000mAh battery, claiming to provide up to 343 hours of standby battery life. It also includes an unspecified rear camera unit. For entertainment, the phone comes pre-installed with JioCinema and JioSaavn, while JioPay benefits users with UPI transactions.

Available in black and blue color options, the Jio Bharat B1 4G is priced at Rs. 1,299. The feature phone supports 23 languages, including several Indian regional languages. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. Weighing 110 grams, the handset measures 125mm x 52mm x 17mm.
