Garlic possesses properties such as antibiotic, antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-coagulant, making it a storehouse of various health-promoting elements.

Utilize these health benefits by including garlic in your kitchen in larger quantities. Many nutritionists believe that consuming raw garlic can offer numerous advantages. However, due to its intense flavor, some people prefer it in the form of pickle. A spicy garlic pickle is sure to be enjoyed by everyone.

Let’s learn how to make spicy garlic pickle:

  1. Peel the garlic cloves. If the garlic is small, no need to cut it; however, if the size is large, you can cut it in half.
  2. Dry roast all the spices for the masala in a pan, including fenugreek seeds, cumin, yellow mustard seeds, whole coriander, nigella seeds, fennel seeds, and dried red chili.
  3. Once the spices are roasted, grind them into a coarse powder.
  4. Heat mustard oil in a pan, add turmeric and red chili powder, and temper with mustard seeds and fennel seeds.
  5. Add the crushed spice mix to the hot oil.
  6. Now, add the crushed spice mix to the hot oil.
  7. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. For extra spiciness, you can add mango powder at this stage.
  8. Add salt to taste.
  9. Include two tablespoons of vinegar.
  10. Finalize the mixture, and transfer it into a sterilized jar. Ensure that no water comes into contact with the pickle.
  11. Spicy garlic pickle is ready to be enjoyed.
