On Day 12 of the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China, India continued to excel in various events. Neeraj Chopra secured the gold medal in the Men’s Javelin throw, while Kishore Jena claimed the silver medal on Day 11. India’s overall medal tally now stands at 81 medals, comprising 18 gold, 31 silver, and 32 bronze medals.

India’s performance on Day 12 holds great promise as the nation currently occupies the fourth position in the medal standings. The day commenced with outstanding achievements in Women’s archery compound, where Jyothi Surekha, Aditi Gopichand Swami, and Parneet Kaur advanced to the semifinals. They will be competing against Indonesia in the Compound Women’s Team Semifinals, scheduled to begin at 7.50 am (IST). Among the notable Indian athletes participating are PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy, and Kidambi Srikanth.
