The Chief Minister Bhagwat Mann has mentioned in his post that “During the farmer agitation at the Khanouri border, the family of the martyr Shubhkar Singh will receive financial assistance of Rs 1 crore from the Punjab government, and his younger sister will be given a government job.”

New Delhi: During the violence that occurred in Delhi on February 21, farmer Shubhkar Singh lost his life. Subsequently, the farmers demanded compensation for their companion and had put a halt to the post-mortem of the body. Amidst this, Punjab’s CM Bhagwat Mann has announced financial assistance of Rs 1 crore to the family of Shubhkar Singh and a government job for his younger sister.

In fact, CM Bhagwat Mann has shared this information in a post on social media. He wrote, “During the farmer agitation at the Khanouri border, the family of the martyr Shubhkar Singh will receive financial assistance of Rs 1 crore from the Punjab government, and his younger sister will be given a government job… Appropriate legal action will be taken against the culprits… Fulfilling obligations.”

After the compensation provided to Shubhkar Singh’s family by the Punjab government, the possibility of conducting the post-mortem of his body is being considered. It is noteworthy that the farmers also demanded the status of martyr for him. Not only this, today SKM is observing a black day against Shubhkar Singh’s death. It is worth noting that the farmers are still sitting on dharnas at Shambhu and Khanouri borders. After this, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher will announce the further action plan by Friday evening. After the violence on February 21, the farmers have announced a two-day ‘siege fire’.

According to the information, Shubhkar Singh’s family owns 2 acres of land. His mother has passed away and his father is suffering from mental illness. He also has two sisters. One of them is married, and the other is still completing her education. Not only this, but he had also taken a loan to arrange his sister’s marriage.
