The upcoming Amrit Bharat Express trains, set to be inaugurated by PM Modi tomorrow, feature anti-jerk technology to ensure a seamless journey along the Darbhanga-Delhi and Malda-Bengaluru routes.

Railway officials have disclosed that the first two Amrit Bharat Express trains, scheduled for launch on December 30 from Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are equipped with cutting-edge technology to eliminate any jerks during the entire journey. These trains will operate between Darbhanga in Bihar and Anand Vihar in Delhi via Ayodhya, as well as between Malda Town in West Bengal and Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminus in Bengaluru. Utilizing semi-coupler technology, an innovative approach in train operations, Amrit Bharat trains ensure a smooth travel experience across multiple destinations at a maximum speed of 130 km.

The semi-coupler technology effectively connects two coaches in a manner that mitigates the jerking effect when the train commences or halts. In contrast to the older technology found in numerous existing trains, where coaches were linked with a specific coupler leading to passengers experiencing jerks during stops or starts.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, during an inspection of the train at the New Delhi railway station, highlighted the special semi-permanent coupler used in Amrit Bharat trains, emphasizing its ability to eliminate jerks and enhance operational safety.

Additionally, the train incorporates push-pull technology, featuring engines at both the front and rear. While the front engine pulls the train, the rear engine assists in pushing it forward. Vaishnaw underscored that significant modifications were made to accommodate push-pull technology, resulting in improved acceleration and deceleration.
