Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched a scathing attack on the Gandhi family in the midst of the escalating accusations and counter-accusations in the run-up to the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. He criticized Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi for continuously making false statements and questioned how the Gandhi family, associated with corruption scandals like the 2G, 3G, 4G, and the infamous “Jija Ji” scam, could discuss corruption.

Chouhan questioned the credibility of those who are currently out on bail, asserting that they shouldn’t be making accusations of corruption. He pointed out that wherever Congress governments are in power, corruption is rampant. He cited the allegations against the Chhattisgarh government for power manipulation and questioned Priyanka’s selective memory regarding the state of Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Minister also challenged Priyanka Gandhi, asking if she remembers the instances of rape that occurred in her own state, yet she shamelessly criticizes Madhya Pradesh. Chouhan inquired about the extent of corruption that took place during the 15 months of Congress rule in Madhya Pradesh, highlighting the destructive impact of Digvijaya Singh’s tenure as Chief Minister.

He emphasized that the Gandhi family frequently resorts to falsehoods and suggested that they often forget the promises and numbers they quote. Chouhan accused Priyanka Gandhi of selectively recalling facts and suggested that she needed to resort to rote learning at times to remember what she says. He concluded by highlighting the inconsistency in her statements regarding the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and questioned her reliability in the political arena.
