Prita Priya, a professional beautician, shared an incident on social media that occurred on December 11. The police filed a case at Kasarvadavli Police Station against the accused Ashwajeet and two others under several sections.

A 26-year-old woman has accused her boyfriend of allegedly attempting to run her over with his SUV in Thane. She sustained serious injuries during the incident. The accused, identified as Ashwajeet Anil Kumar Gayakwad, is reported to be the son of a senior bureaucrat in Maharashtra.

Allegations made by the victim According to a report, Priya wrote in her post, “I seek justice. The accused, Ashwajeet Anil Kumar Gayakwad, is the son of Anil Kumar Gayakwad, Joint Managing Director of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation.” In her post, she mentioned the names of Ashwajeet’s friends—Romil Patil, Prasad Patil, and Sagar Shelke—all Thane residents, as well as the name of her boyfriend’s driver-cum-security guard, Shiva. Priya wrote, “My boyfriend hit me with his car and left me on the road to die.”

Incident of being run over The police reported that the incident occurred near a hotel on Ghodbunder Road around 4:30 AM on Monday. The woman had come to meet Ashwajeet Gayakwad at this location. An argument ensued between them. Later, as Priya started walking away from the car, the person driving the vehicle attempted to run her over, causing her to fall and suffer serious injuries.

Pain revealed on social media An officer stated that Priya shared details of the incident on social media. She is currently undergoing treatment, and she claimed that Gayakwad is the son of a senior bureaucrat in Maharashtra.

Contradictory statements In conversation with the media, a senior police officer denied the allegations made by Priya in her social media post. The officer mentioned that an investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no arrests have been made so far.
