Good News for Katihar, Kishanganj, and Patna Residents: New Vande Bharat Express Starting Soon

A significant announcement has been made for the people of Katihar, Kishanganj, and Patna. Responding to the convenience of travelers, the railway has declared the initiation of a new Vande Bharat Express train. Explore the details from timings to everything else below.

For the residents of Bihar, there’s a big reason to rejoice. The railway is set to gift a new connection from the capital, Patna, to New Jalpaiguri. The railway has announced the commencement of a Vande Bharat Express train, starting from New Jalpaiguri, passing through Kishanganj and Katihar, and reaching the capital, Patna. The service is scheduled to begin on December 17. The inauguration of this train will be done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself through video conferencing. On the same day, PM Modi will inaugurate 10 new Vande Bharat Express trains across the country. According to railway sources, new racks for the Vande Bharat Express will also reach Patna Junction by Tuesday. Before this, Patna has been served by two Vande Bharat Express trains – the Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express and the Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express.

Benefits for Several Districts People in NJP, Kishanganj, Katihar, and surrounding areas will benefit from this new train. It’s worth mentioning that there has been a demand for this train to Patna for quite some time. Now, fulfilling this demand, the railway is presenting this gift to the people. The train’s journey from Kishanganj, Katihar to Patna will become more accessible. The beneficiaries include travelers from NJP, Kishanganj, Katihar, Darjeeling in West Bengal, North Dinajpur, Purnia, and Araria districts.

7-Hour Journey According to the railway notice, the train for Patna will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 6 AM, reaching Patna at 1 PM after halts in Kishanganj and Katihar. The journey from NJP to Patna will take just 7 hours. On the return journey, the train will leave Patna at 3 PM, reaching Katihar at around 7 AM, Kishanganj at 8:50 AM, and NJP at 10 PM. It’s noteworthy that this train will operate six days a week, excluding Tuesdays.
